A china manufacturer of sealing products is alarmed by the growing number of polymer counterfeits

       BD seals, china  – The china  Gaskets and Seals Association (BD SEALS) has raised concerns about an increase in counterfeit materials entering the Global market in recent months.
       In the introduction to the latest  newsletter, chairman Mr wu   writes that the problem stems from a growing shortage of fluoropolymers and other similar materials.
       “We are increasingly seeing commercial FKM being passed off as Chemours Viton A, or low quality imported silicones being passed off as high quality silicones,” said the chairman, who is also a director at BD seals 
       Combined, he added, with the proliferation of “off-the-shelf” ISO9001 certifications, without any audit or implementation, “the risk to manufacturers and end users increases exponentially.”
       The bd seals   is therefore urging businesses to carry out appropriate audits of their supply chains to ensure counterfeits are “detected” and eliminated.
